CH1B - Level 1, Part B: Forming Solid Foundations, Learning Patterns
Ready to level up your Hawaiian? Join Kumu Kaliko in CH1B for an engaging, lighthearted 8-week Zoom journey! Expand on your CH1A Pepeke foundations, including ʻaike equational patterns, possession (a vs. o), telling time, and position words. No textbook required! Come practice, connect with fun classmates, and build confidence in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- All classes are delivered live via Zoom.
- The Zoom Meeting ID will be shown in the Student Community “Space” for this class here on ʻŌlelo Online (see below).
- Each class runs for an hour and is taught by head-instructor kumu Kaliko Beamer-Trapp
- There are three “Sections” of CH1B on Mondays for you to choose from: 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm HST.
- You may switch which Section you attend, week to week, based on your schedule.
- You attend as many Sections as you pay for. For example, if you want to attend two Sections, please register for the class twice.
- You will have access to all three Sections of the class videos and notes each week in our Student Community (see below). That equates to about 120 minutes of available instruction per week (40 mins x 3), not including pre-class discussions.
We also offer HM1B, an optional supplementary $80 language lab/practice class for CH1B students on Fridays at 1:00 pm HST to support your learning journey. Language Lab classes are taught by kumu Kalani Stoleson. If you are interested, you can add a Language Lab class to your Cart at checkout.
- Access the Student Community and your specific class “Space(s)” with your user account login after purchase.
- Class videos, notes, and other materials will be shared in your class Space the day after class.
- Log in 24/7 to ʻŌlelo Online to get to your Student Community dashboard.
